Game Terbaik: Kembalinya Patung Sonic Ikonik dari Segaworld London
Many English gamers have fond memories of Segaworld, a large arcade that was touted as the largest in Europe in the 1990s. Welcoming visitors at the entrance was a large statue of Sonic the Hedgehog spinning a globe on his finger. It was the most captivating entrance to an arcade ever imagined by 90s teenagers.
Just like typical arcade scenes, the Sonic statue was believed to have disappeared over time. However, in a new video posted on Sega Forever on X, the statue is seen being opened and beautifully restored. It’s not just the statue that fans want to save though. In 2019, we reported on similar efforts to rescue the Sonic and Princess Sally statues from a theme park in Sydney, Australia.
Sonic statue will once again greet visitors at the Sega booth at Gamescom, which will begin this weekend. Sega is currently promoting the upcoming release of Sonic Superstars, a classic Sonic platformer that will feature 2.5D graphics.
Outside of the Sega lineup, Gamescom is expected to showcase a number of upcoming games including Mortal Kombat 1 and Alan Wake 2. This will begin tomorrow with Opening Night Live, which according to host Geoff Keighley will be “less about announcing new projects” and will focus on what has already been presented.
